A Shopping Day

All the talk about snow, and we didn't even get a dusting.  That's fine with me, because I had plans to go to the mall, and that's just what I did.  My birthday is this month, so my mother-in-law wanted to take me shopping. 

The three of us (my three year old came with us as well) drove the 45 minutes it takes to get to the mall, and while there was no snow, temperatures were below freeezing. Victoria's Secret was the first stop, and I picked up some unmentionables, courtesy of MIL.  We then moved on to Express.  I don't usually shop here because most of the clothes is not age appropriate fo me, but a few months ago, after trying several different stores, I found ther perfect jeans here. I picked up a cute button-down shirt, then moved on. 

A quick bathroom break was in order.  Traveling with a three-year old, who was potty-trained a month ago, we didn't want to take any chances.

Now back to my birthday-gift shopping.  My MIL wanted to get me a designer bag.  We went into Coach, and I picked the most conservative looking bag, one that I could use on a daily basis.  I hesitated, and decided to check some other stores, so that I can compare.  I didn't feel too comfortable about having someone spend $350 on me for a handbag, especially one that was not on sale.

After hitting the major department stores, I found my bag.  I chose a lacquer red Cole Haan tote. I love that it's red.  I know I'll only use it on special ocassions, so I will get my MIL's money's worth out of it.  Here's a picture of my bag.

Now I have to find something to wear it with.  I can wear this bag with jeans and a t-shirt, but I need some accessories.  If you have some suggestions on what I can accessorize it with, please send them my way.
